Film you and/or your friend’s best dance routine to #AfricanWomen and post it to Instagram for a chance to win 25,000 Naira and an opportunity to be featured on Afro Sound Machine’s blog and social media channels.


WHAT: DANCE CHALLENGE

WHEN:

  • ENTRY PERIOD: MAR 1st – MIDNIGHT MAR 22nd
  • VOTING PERIOD: MAR 22nd – MIDNIGHT MAR 29th
  • WINNER ANNOUNCED: MAR 29th on FAD FM 93.1

WINNING PRIZE: 25,000 Naira


HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

  • Film you and your friends best dance routine to the song ‘African Women’ by R Mixy & Afro Sound Machine (LINK IN BIO)
  • Video should be AT LEAST 30 seconds long (30+ awesome seconds is better than 2 minutes of boring)
  • Dance should be family friendly please. No nudity. Any inappropriate material will be disqualified
  • TAG & FOLLOW @RMixy @AfroSoundMachine & @fad93.1fm
  • Post it to your INSTAGRAM account with the hashtag #AfricanWomenDanceChallenge
  • Make sure your account is NOT set to private… otherwise we will not be able to see the post.
  • At midnight on March 22nd the entry period closes and we will repost all the videos submitted with the #AfricanWomenDanceChallenge onto our @AfroSoundMachine instagram page.
  • You and your friends will have from the 22nd-29th (@ 12am) to vote for the favorite entry by liking and commenting on that videos post on the @AfroSoundMachine Instagram page.
  • During the voting period each LIKE will count for 1 vote and every COMMENT will count for 1 vote… so everyone can vote for each video up to 2 times.
  • You may vote for multiple videos.
  • You should get your friends and family to vote for your videos.
  • Leaving multiple comments from the same person on the same video will only count as 1 vote. (No benefit from commenting multiple times on the same video… but you can if you want to)
  • Any artificial automated or bot LIKES or COMMENTS will be disqualified. (We will be monitoring)
  • The winner will be determined by a panel of judges who will verify the vote numbers.On March 29th with winner will be announced by @officialfadakane on #ThePlaylistShow on FAD FM 93.1 Calabar and posted to the @AfroSoundMachine Instagram page.
  • The winning dancer(s) will be featured on Afro Sound Machine’s blog, Social Media accounts, and receive a prize of 25k Naira!

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

  • By posting your video to Instagram with the hashtag #AfricanWomenDanceChallenge, you are giving us permission to repost your videos to our social media accounts and to our websites for promotion purposes. You grant us the right to edit, adapt and remix them for promotional purposes.
  • Contest open to anyone from anywhere in the world as long as this contest complies with their local laws and they have parental consent if under the age of 18. Participants are responsible to make sure they are in compliance.
  • If the winner doesn’t live in Nigeria, the prize of 25,000 Naira will be transferred to them via a money transfer service and will be converted to their native currency. We are not responsible for currency conversion fees that transfer institutions may charge.
  • Employees of FAD FM 93.1, Afro Sound Machine, R Mixy or members of their family are ineligible for this contest.
