‘MOTIVE’ is the response to a world wrapped in chaos. We profess love but hatred is what we see, we claim to be of service but selfishness and self centeredness dominate, people struggle for political power but the system instead enrich a few at the top, and those who claim to protect us are the ones who inflict injury (#ENDSARS). As the citizens of the world wait out the pandemic, this hypocrisy plays out on their screens. ‘MOTIVE’ is geared towards rekindling consciousness and aligning our actions with our words… especially now that the world is tired of empty speeches.
‘DIANA’ is Afro Sound Machine’s second release. It is a collaboration with Sollo7 from Accra, Ghana. He has a warmth and power to his voice which makes him unique in the region. He has ben called “The Golden Voice of Africa”. ‘Diana’ is a contemporary mid-tempo African dance song about falling in love mindlessly.
We collaborated on this song and did some social media promo before it was launched. It got picked up by some creators organically and used in several TikTok videos which went viral, one of which was a compilation viewed over 15 million times and shared 11k+ times. So many comments were asking for what the song is.. we are still trying to catch up!
FERESE ORUN (Windows of Heaven) is the latest single from Afro Sound Machine featuring Bolanle Lebson. Bolanle is an artist hailing from Yoruba land in Owo, Ondo State, Nigeria. His specialty is praise music in a unique juju style. Ferese Orun (Windows of Heaven) is a powerful testimony to the power of God to answer prayers. The driving rhythm, beautiful African guitar work, native talking drums, and accompanying choir all underscore his powerful voice and make for a compelling, uplifting and inspiring musical experience. We were so thrilled to work with him on bringing this live studio recording to life. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed collaborating with him on this song.

For this song, we paired up with Sollo7, an incredible artist and crooner from Accra, Ghana, and set about fusing genres to create something altogether new. The hard hitting Afro House vibes, with an EDM undercurrent, coupled with his sensuous vocals in his regional Ghanian dialect (Dangbe) compels every would-be wallflower to get onto the dance floor. Turn it up loud and dance with us to BADO!
