Sung on an AfroPop rythm, Pangalang is a musical transcription of which tells the story of the role and importance of cats in certain communities. "Pagalang" stems from the experience I had where in a cat sensed danger afar off and skipped from the cover of a pot in the kitchen while we were cooking. The dialect used in the song is called NGUIEMBA, a dialect spolen in the west of Cameroun. The word 'POUSSI' in the chorus means cat'. In the verses, the benefits of having a cat are explained especially for spiritual people (e.g village chiefs, kings, wisemen, traditional doctors etc...).
